Advay's lucnh box for the month of April

Its been a month since Advay's new term started ,now since he has two lunch break one short and one long everyday I have to think of something different to pack in his tiffin box,
sharing with you all pic of the lunch box meal which he had in April,this post is also for my friends who ask me suggestion about what to pack in tiffin
The above pic has Onion Paratha and fried egg.

Advay loves  to eat chicken sausage in the above pic I have prepared sandwich with lettuce leaves,cucumber slices,cheese slice and sliced pieces of fried sausage.
the above lunch box has Sattu Paratha 
simple sandwich this one has lettuce leaf.,cheese slice,cucumber slice ,tomato and onion
ya he loves to eat aachar specially aam aachar ,have packed plain paratha,fried cottage cheese ,aam aachar and roasted cashewnut .
cottage cheese,toamto and cheese slice perfect combo for sandwich
have kept fried sausage ,paratha and a box of grapes
Sandwich prepared with leftover Matar Paneer Curry
for Pyaz Paratha
Ingredient 
Wheat flour two cup
salt as per taste
oil to cook
to mix in the flour 
finely chopped onion one
grated ginger one tbsp
green chili one finely chopped
carom seeds half tsp
garam masala powder half tsp
one tbsp gram flour
one tsp oil
Procedure
In a mixing bowl mix finely chopped onion ,grated ginger,green chili ,carom seeds,garam masala powder add wheat flour,gram flour ,oil and salt.
knead dough to form a smooth mix
divide the dough into lemon sized discs and roll out chapathi shape
roast on a preheated tava till brown from both sides.
serve warm.

My experiment in Kitchen - Spiced up vermicelli with egg

we had this yesterday for luch,very easy to make ,i made it spicy cause i like spicy ,if u dont want it hot use less chily

ingredients-

one bowl boiled vermicelli or thin noodles

one onion chopped
three green chili chopped

three egg
one teaspoon of all the masalas mixed together redchili,turmuric,coriander,and garam masala
one teaspoon of salt
one teaspoon of oil

procedure

heat oil in the non stick pan
now add the chopped chili followed by onion

while the onions turn brown mix the egg with the masalas and salt

once the onions are done put the egg mixture in the onions

fry well till the egg is done

now switch off the burner and mix the boiled vermicelli

to maintain the indian masala flavour i didnt use any ketchup or sauce,if u want to alter the taste u can add sauce to it.
enjoy hot with tea.

KITCHEN EXPERIMENT - HOT CHILI OMELET

today its raining here,,really wanted to eat something spicy...i know by spicy most people relate to chat..but due to less time i thought of creating something which is both fast to cook and hot to eat,..i thought lot..and finally thought of making omelet with lots of chili..thus the name chili omelet,believe me i always used to make the normal omelet but the circumstances and weather prevailed me to create something like this...good to eat when its raining with hot tea,...good substitute for hot pakoras and bhaji fry so here is the recipe-

ingredients-

egg two
onion one chopped
salt one teaspoon
red chili powder one tea spoon
dry red chili crushed two
green chili chopped three
oil half teaspoon

procedure-

mix all the ingredients in a mixing boil

now heat in non stick fry pan or whatever utensil you are comfortable with add the ingredients to the pan,keep turning till its brown

your omelet is ready to eat,serve with toast breas and chili sauce to make it more spicy and eat with hot tea or cofee

sattu ka parantha......rural food of northern india

well i know most of u all dont know whta sattu ka parantha is ....well sattu is the powder which u get when u grind the bhuna hua chana,..angrezi mai roasted gram flour.... its available in the market ....as sattu flour or atta ....u can enjoy the parantha with pickel ,...specially red chilli...

i am sending this parantha for the roti mela hosted by srivalli of cooking for all seasons

ingredients for two people

-sattu flour one cup

-kneaded dough for the parantha according to your need ,,,u can vary the quantity....dough should not be soft ...it should be hard for the parantha,,,u can sprinkle some oil to make the consistency according to your need

to make the mixture for the filling of the paratha-..u need these things-

onion chopped one
garlic chopped three cloves
green chilli three chopped
salt to taste
red chilli powder one teaspoon
astafoetida pinch
ajwain sorry dont knw the english term ,,pinch of
to enhance the taste i add red chilli pickelPhotobucket



well mix the aboove mentione things to the sattu and the mixture is ready....u can add few drops of water to soften the mixture,

now just fill the mixture in the already kneaded dough by making small round 2inch diameter and giving depression

fill the sattu ,seal from all sides

make parantha with help of rolling pin

now on a preheated tava roast till brown from both sides
keep applying ghee

and enjoy hot parantha with pickle and tea,,,,make it thick it tastes better,,,,
