Betty Crockers Chocolate Cake with Fudge Frosting

I like to cook when theres no one to disturb me so today noon when i couldnt sleep i flipped through my cake books and finally selected Chocolate cake recipe from Betty Crockers cookbook,
Recipe name Chocolate cake with fudge frosting
Recipe source Betty Crockers Cookbook
Preparation time 10 mins
Baking time 30 mins
Ingredient for the cake
All purpose flour two and a half cup
Sugar one and a half cup
water one cup
two egg
salt one tsp
pinch of baking powder
vanilla one tsp
butter three fourth cup
cocca two thrid cup
one tsp baking soda
Preparation
grease the baking pan and keep aside
preheat the oven to 170 degree centigrade for 10 mins
Procedure
In a mixing bowl mix all the ingredients with hand blender
Bake for 30 mins until tooth pic inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Cool for an hour
Fudge Frosting 
Ingredient
 Granulated Sugar two cup
Baking Cocoa one cup
Milk one cup
Butter half cup
light corn syrup one fourth cup
vanilla two tsp
powdered sugar 2 cups
Procedure
In a saucepan mix granulated sugar with cocoa 
stir in milk ,butter,corn syrup and salt
heat to boiling stirring frequently
boil for 3 mins stirring occasionally
cool for 45 mins
beat in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth .
p.s. my first attempt frosting the cake so i wasnt that happy with the done cake,..

I like that frosting as it seems a little different from the traditional chocolate ganache. Nice recipe and the cake looks yum too.
