300th post with ...:-)

When i write today i feel as if its just yesterday i started this small space of mine,but this isnt true  its been almost two years and some 4 months since i started writing :-) now thats a pretty long time i knw ,
with my blog i have grown up too,met some beautiful people,made some lifelong friends and with each post i learned something thats the best part of blogging  so thanks a ton guys for inspiring me ,motivating me to keep this on ,without your support this wouldnt have been possible.
Prepared vision board today

,wrote my dinner plan for today evening which had three options tomato rasam/tomato rice or dal ,rice and fried okra..within few minutes my neighbour calls me up to tell me she has prepared tomato rasam for me,now waht do u call this mere coincidence or law of attraction ;-)
Enough of musing i guess for todays post ,had craving to eat Matar Paneer yesterday night ,didnt had cottage cheese at home so i prepared paneer at home

,have already blogged recipe of Matar Paneer here ,this one is slightly modified version of the same
,i omitted the use of garlic and green chili,
didnt fry cottage cheese before adding to the gravy
didnt add much water as wanted the gravy to semi dried,

Blueberry Something and Fries with Cheese

Its JINXED i know,i can never bake anything perfect with blueberries
:-( this is my second attempt ,first time i tried baking muffins but the centre was all underccoked this time i started baking cookies thats what the recipe was but the end result didnt look like cookies at all u guys can see infact i dont know what to call this,..
to make it more appealing to hubby served with fresh cream topped with crushed blueberries,..
Today it rained like anything since morning,since hubby is on call today i thought of setteling down for fries instead of bhaji/pakodas/fritters,so took out frozen fries from the fridge,pan fried,topped it with mozarella cheese ,chili flakes,black pepper and salt and satisfied my craving,..

and ya special thanks to 96.3 FM Singapores one and only radio channel which plays hindi nos daily from 5pm to 8pm,,,this really made my evening :-) book i read today The greatness guide book 2 by Robin Sharma ,thats all frens,,,u guys take cre ,..cee u all soon,..

Dinner meal of Dosti Roti with Butter Chicken

Yesterday my sis left  for Delhi,last three weeks we enjoyed like anything,Neha gonna miss u lotz :-(
coming back to todays post gonna share with you all recipe of Butter Chicken which she prepared here,this butter chicken reminds me of the butter chicken which we used to eat  at our fav restaurent in our hometown,and ya i was surprised when Neha told me the same thing :-)
Recipe Name Butter Chicken

Recipe Style Curry
Ingredient
one whole chicken
onion five chopped
tomato chopped one
garlic clove two chopped
ginger garlic paste one tbsp
oil to cook
everest chicken masala one tbsp
salt as per taste
orange colour pinch
dried red chili two
black cardamom two
black pepper four
bay leaves two
red chili powder half tsp
coriander powder one tsp
cream two tbsp
butter one tbsp
Preparation 1
heat oil in non stick wok
add dried red chili,black cardamom,black pepper and bay leaves
once they start to splutter add onion and garlic clove
once the onions are mushy add tomatoes ,red chili powder,coriander powder and salt
keep frying till everything mixes together
once the fried masala cools down run through a blender and keep aside
Preparation 2
Marinate chicken pieces with curd,bit of salt,red colour and ginger garlic paste and everest chicken masala,keep aside for 2 to 3 hrs.
Preparation 3
Heat butter in a non stick wok
lower the flame and fry the chicken pieces on low flame.
keep aside.
Procedure
In the same vessel used above heat the grounded masala
lower the flame and add chicken pieces
mix well ,if needed add half cup of water and let it simmer for few minutes on low flame
serve garnished with fresh cream.,we paired chicken with Dosti roti ,heres a pictorial of how Dosti is prepared ,Asha of Aroma hope has blogged Dosti roti stuffed with dill chana dal.
These days i am keeping myself busy reading books,now this is something which i am doing after a gap of few yrs to be precise i guess 10 yrs,nows that a real long gap i knw but i am truly enjoying reading books now,..:-)

Tamatar Rasam From Raks Kitchen

When i asked Neha what should i cook for dinner ,she promptly told me to prepare rice and rasam,now that was tough cause i didnt had coriander leaves and curry leaves :-( ,i browsed through the recipes on the net and finally thought of trying tomato rasam from Raks Kitchen,

Lauki Curry from my moms kitchen

Its been ages since i have blogged  ,sorry guys for exagerating i know its just  been few days since i last blogged ,..:-) my younger sis is here for few days so i am really busy showing her around ,..and  ya theres one good news too which i want to share with you all  ,..huh finally i can have some time off,..Advays school has started from today, while dropping him to school bus i felt as if its my first day of school, i expected him to cry but he happily climbed the stairs of the bus and setteled himself,while waiting for him noon time i expected him to look  tired  but he was all smile and gladly told me what all he did in his school,which included activities like eating his tiffin,and saying bye to airplane,unlike us where we had to carry our books to school everyday ,his stationary will be in school and he has to just carry his bag with tiffin isnt that cool,..thats all :-) cooking wise no much cooking ,sharing with you all simple recipe of Lauki/Bottlegourd Curry which i keep asking from my mom whenever i have to prepare so this time when i asked i had to blog it for my own refrence:-)
Recipe Name Bottlegourd/Lauki Curry
Recipe source my mom
Preparation time 10 mins
Cooking time 20 to 30 mins
Ingredient
Bottlegourd/Lauki one peeled and chopped in cube shape
potato peeled and chopped
onion two sliced
tomato one cubed
grated ginger and garlic one tsp
green chili sliced two
salt as per taste
oil to cook
black pepper two
clove two
dried red chili one
bay leave one
cumin seeds half tsp
turmeric powder pinch

garam masala powder one tsp
Procedure
In a pressure cooker heat one tbsp of oil
once hot lower the flame and add cumin seeds,clove ,black pepper,dried red chili and bay leave
once it starts spluttering add onion followed by garlic,ginger and green chili
once the onions turn half mushy add chopped tomatoes ,salt and turmeric powder
fry further for a minute or two and add potatoes followed by bottlegourd
fry till everything mixes together
add requiered amount of water and let it simmer for a minute
sprinkle garam masala powder and pressure cook for one to two whistles.
Serve hot with rice and pickle.
