KOPI FROM TOAST BOX FOR CLICK EVENT

Yesterday went for coffee to toast box after a long time...my favourite coffee there is KOPI WHICH IN malay means coffee,i tired coffee at many places in Singapore but never went second time,.but this place is now my favourite,.i remember my firts visit to this coffee shop ,..i went with ,..when they asked me i couldnt get what to order...cause KOPI, KOPI O , KOPI C,.I was really unfamiliar with these terms,..embarassed at myself for being so unaware i slowly told coffee,,..which they got,,,.i was feelig real hungary too so i asked them for traditional toast,..with strawberry butter filling...yum it was ,..and first sip of coffee i felt i was in heaven...since that day i have never stopped going there....its been a year now,..and soon timewill come to leave singapore too,..i gonna miss this place a lotz,..:-(,whenever i felt like spending some time alone...this place was my hub...since its quiet near to the gym and library,.which are my other hangouts...:-),.

When this months theme was announced i knew what i would click

here goes my entry for the monthly cluck event with the theme coffee and tea

TRADITIONAL KOPI :ie coffee with condensed milk of toast box

KOPI WAS POPULAR IN SINGAPORE DURING BRITISH COLONIAL PERIOD

THIS ART OF COFFEE BREWING WAS INTRODUCED TO SINGAPOREANS BY HAINANESE WHO LEARNED FROM EUROPEANS

UNIQUE THING ABOUT KOPI IS ADDITION OF SUGAR WHEN THE BEANS ARE ROASTED,ROASTING PROCESS IS CARRIED OUT IN DRUM AT 200 deg celsius,

SUGAR GETS CONVERTED INTO CARAMEL AND FORMS A THIN BURNT FILM AROUND THE COFFEE RESULTING IN DARKER AND AROMATIC BREW WITHOUT THE BITTERNESS.

KOPI IS BREWED BY STRAINING THE COFFEE POWDER THROUGH LONG SACK AND PULLING THE COFFEE FROM LONG SPOUTED POT.

OTHER KOPI TERMS,..WHICH EVEN I DIDNT KNEW,..SOURCE FORM HERE

KOPI-O COFFEE WITHOUT MILK

KOPI COFFEE WITH CONDENSED MILK

KOPI- COFEE WITH EVAPORATED MILK

PING -WITH ICE

PO- MORE WATER LESS COFFEE ( WEAK )

GAO -MORE COFFEE LESS WATER ( STRONG )

DI LO- ALL COFFEE NO WATER

GADAI MORE SUGAR

SIU DAI LESS SUGAR

KOSONG NO SUGAR

THATS ALL FOR TODAY..

ANOTHER PIC OF KOPI WITH TRADITIONAL TOAST,..MY FAVOURITE COMBO,..

HAPPY BLOGGIN FRENS,.

CEEYA TOMORROW
