goan food whatever it is...tamarind and coconut are common ingredient,..curry of goan recipe is neither thick or thin its coarse and granular...because of the coconut...coconut imparts distinct flavour to the goan recipes which is quiet distinctive for goan recipes,,,so here comes the goan chicken curry recipe from one of my fav place on earth...do cook to relish the flavour of coconut and tamarind in chicken,..
so here comes the ingredient
chicken 250gm
chopped onion two
chopped tomato one
coconut milk one cup
oil twoteaspoon
for the paste
one inch ginger
six garlic cloves
tamarind pulp twotablespoon
coconut dried two inch
salt to taste
turmeric powder half tsp
coriander seeds one tsp
cumin seeds one tsp
make paste and keep aside
procedure
heat the pan and dry fry the chicken without oil and keep aside
heat oil and fry onions till they start turning pink
add the paste and tomatoes and fry till u see oil along the sides of the vessel
..
now add fried chicken and fry till the masala blends with the chicken
finally add the coconut milk and let it simmer ,cover and cook,for few minutes
we enjoyed with besan roti...
