How do you feel when you go to library and see book of someone whom u know staring back at you from the rack waiting to be picked up,no guys i am not talking about Sanjeev Kapoor or Tarla Dalal,i am talking about our very own Mallika Basu of Quick Indian Cooking ,since the day i have started blogging i have been following her blog ;-) I am in luv with her writing and her simple and yum recipes .So today when i saw Miss Masala in the indian cook book section together with other known food authors i felt so good,i ahve just turned few pages ,book is awesome ,just looking at it made me feel so good u guys can imagine,...:-)
Coming back to todays post two days back prepared this simple chicken curry ,this recipe is very simple guys and takes hardly half an hour to prepare,while chopping onions and tomatoes i didnt ahd any recipe in my mind,i just wanted to prepare some chicken curry with rice,..and i am so happy that i didnt try anything fancy for this recipe,..:-) or it wouldnt have tasted that yum i know,..;-) while eating this i missed my sisters as this chicken curry reminded me of the sunday meal during our childhood days,.:-)
Recipe name ghar wala chicken curry
Ingredient
chicken pieces 250gm
green chili one finely chopped
garlic clove two (thick one)
ginger one inch finely chopped
onion four chopped
tomato one chopped
mdh chicken masala two tbsp
salt as per taste
oil to cook
bay leaves two crushed
cumin seeds one tsp
dried red chili two
black cardamom two
black pepper two
Procedure
In a non stick wok heat one tbsp oil
lower the flame and add chopped ginger ,garlic and green chili
keep frying add onions and fry till the onions are done
now add tomatoes ,salt and chicken masala mix everything together
keep stirring till oil is seen along the sides
now add chicken and fry for five minutes
remove from flame and keep aside
In a pressure cooker heat haf tsp of oil
add cumin seeds,bay leaves,dried red chili,black pepper and cardamom
once it starts spluttering lower the flame and fried chicken
mix everything together ,add hlaf cup of water
and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
Serve hot with rice,..;-)
