MANGO KULFI WITH CRANBERRIES TO BEAT THE HEAT AND SOME COOLERS TO QUENCH UR THIRST

Back in India,..monsoon has already arrived but here in Singapore,.its the same weather with sudden rain showers when it becomes too hot..one hot summer afternoon i felt like having kulfi,,.i got the recipe from here,,..thanks to lakshmi for suggesting me this recipe,..i followed the same recipe
,..instead of adding dryfruits and saffron i added chopped cranberries,..thus the name mango kulfi with cranberries,..thanks Namratha for sharing this yummy recipe,,,will prepare soon again,,,,;-)
AFTER AASONDI I TRIED SUNFLOWER SEEDS AGAIN ,FOR THIS ENERGY BOOSTER DRINK,..BADAM MILK WITH MELON SEEDS...
INGREDIENTS
60gm melon seeds
one litre milk
pinch of saffron strands
one tablespoon of chopped almond
two cardamom pounds grounded
pinch of balck pepper
one tablespoon of poppy seeds
sugar four tbsp
procedure
soak the melon seeds with poppy seeds for 15 minutes,drain and blend in a blender
soak saffron strands in a tsp of milk and keep aside
boil milk and add chopped almonds,grounded cardamom powder,pepper powder and sugar
now add poppy almond mixture,and saffron infused water to the milk.
let it simmer for a minute or two,..remove from flame.
serve chilled

The melon seed drink is very similar to Thandai, which I have been wanting to make for the past 2 years on Holi (its a festive traditional drink). Thanks for sharing this recipe.
