Microwave recipe of tomato rice
this recipe is for the event microwave easy cooking ( MEC )
hosted by cooking 4 all seasons
the theme for this month is rice
INGREDIENTS FOR TOMATO RICE-
RICE BOILED TWO CUPS ( I PREPAPRED THE RICE IN MICROWAVE RICE COOKER FOR 8 MINUTES )
ONION CHOPPED ONE
TOMATO CHOPPED ONE
SALT TO TATSE
CUMIN SEED 1/2tsp
dry mango powder 1/2 tsp
garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
oil
procedure
heat oil in pan and fry cumin seeds
when the cumin seeds turn brown ,ad onions and fry till soft
add tomatoes and fry till soft
add rice ,salt,amchur and garam masala powder
fry for five minutes and serve hot
Ghee bhath from bengali kitchen

Recipe name - Ghee bath
ingredients
basmati rice cooked two cups
ghee/clarified butter 3tbsp
cloves 4
cinnamon 2
bayleaves 2
black peppercorn 3
salt
procedure
heat the clarified butter ,saute the cloves,cinnamon,bayleaves and peppercorns for a few seconds.
add the rice and saute for 1 minute
add salt and serve hot.

ingredients
potato peeled and cubed two
onion one
tomato one
garlic flakes chopped one
ginger 1/2" piece
cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
whole red chilies 3
salt to taste
oil 2tbsp
procedure
grind ginger, garlic ,redchilies and onion to a paste
heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds,when they turn brown add the paste and fry for 6 mins
add tomatoes and fry till they are soft
add potatoes and mix well
add sugar and salt
add 1 cup of water
cover and cook till mixture dries and patatoes become tender

From my experiment in kitchen- spicy chola with bhatura wann try ...?/?

WHENEVER I THINK OF BHATURAS I AM REMINDED OF THE BIG PLATE SIZED BHATURAS WHICH WE USED TO GET IN OUR HOMETOWN..I REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE KIDS WE USED TO GO FOR DOSA EATING,,,THE ONE WHO WAS NOT IN MOOD TO EAT DOSA USED TO EAT THE CHOLA BHATURA,..AS 15 YRS BACK...THERE WASNT MUCH VARIETY IN THE RESTAURENTS,..IT WAS EITHER DOSA OR CHOLA BHATURA....THOUGH BHATURA USED TO TASTE LIKE SALTY RUBBER..AND COMPARED TO BHATURA...CHOLA QUANTITY WAS ALWAYS LESSS,...I THOUGHT WITH TIME THINGS WILL CHANGE....FEW DAYS BACK WE WENT FOR OUTING. HEAT OIL IN NON STICK WOK ADD CUMIN SEEDS
ONCE THEY START TO SPLUTTER ADD GRATED GINGER AND GARLIC,AND WHEN DONE ADD GREEN CHILI FOLLOWED BY ONION AND TOMATOES.
ONCE THE ONION STARTS TURNING BROWN
MIX THE SALT MIXTURE WITH THE GROUNDED MIX
AND ADD TO THE ONIONS...KEEP FRYING..TILL U SEE OIL ALONG THE SIDE OF THE WOK.
ONCE DONE ADD THE FIRED MASALA TO THE BOILED CHOLA AND PRESSURE COOK FOR THREE WHSTELS

ONE FOURTH CUP OF MILK
ONE TEASPOON SUGAR
ONE TEASPOON TEA
CRUSHED ONE INCH GINGER AND TWO PODS OF CARDAMOM
PROCEDURE
BOIL WATER IN PAN
WHEN ITS HOT ENOUGH ADD THE CRUSHED GINGER AND CARDAMOM
WHEN THE WATER STARTS BOILING ADD THE TEA LEAVES AND SUGAR
WHEN THE WATER BECOMES HALF ADD THE MILK
BOIL FOR A MINUTE OR TWO

Wok fried cabbage with french beans
made this for dinner today,,,u can have this with either parantha or with dal chawal.
ingredients
chopped cabbage half
chopeed frenh bean 200gm
half onion chopped
green chili two chopped
cumin seeds half teaspoon
salt half teaspoon
oil one teaspoon
mixture of turmuric and rechili powder half teaspoon
procedure
heat oil in frying pan
add cumin seeds
when they start to splutter add chopped onion and chili
once onions are done add cabbage and french beans
when in semicooked state add the red chili and turmeric
cook for a minute.
this recipe tastes good when its cooked till its semicooked state..if u want to cook further u can.

Pomfret in spiced up gramflour
we had this dish for dinner yesterday,...good to eat with chapati.
Recipe Name Fried Pomfret in gramflour
ingredients-
one black pomfret washed and cut into big pieces
one onion chopped
one tomato chopped
three green chili chopped
besan two table spoon
two teaspoon mixture of all the masalas red chili,turmuric,coriander and garam masala
one teaspoon salt
one teaspoon oil
procedure
clean and wash the fish,now rub salt and turmuric and keep aside for 5 minutes after 5 minutes wash it and rub all the masalas and besan and keep aside
now heat oil in the pan
add the chopped chili followed by onion and tomatoes
once done and you see oil along the side of the pan
add the fish pieces,fry well and cover nad cook
serve with hot chapati

My experiment in Kitchen - Spiced up vermicelli with egg
we had this yesterday for luch,very easy to make ,i made it spicy cause i like spicy ,if u dont want it hot use less chily
ingredients-
one bowl boiled vermicelli or thin noodles
one onion chopped
three green chili chopped
three egg
one teaspoon of all the masalas mixed together redchili,turmuric,coriander,and garam masala
one teaspoon of salt
one teaspoon of oil
procedure
heat oil in the non stick pan
now add the chopped chili followed by onion
while the onions turn brown mix the egg with the masalas and salt
once the onions are done put the egg mixture in the onions
fry well till the egg is done
now switch off the burner and mix the boiled vermicelli
to maintain the indian masala flavour i didnt use any ketchup or sauce,if u want to alter the taste u can add sauce to it.
enjoy hot with tea.
